This document is the manual for “VfxMeshBuilder”, a procedural mesh generation and physics shattering tool for VFX that runs within the Unity Editor. It explains all features, parameters, shortcuts, and physics simulation details.


0. Installation & Launch

  1. Import: Import this asset into your Unity project.

  2. Launch: From the top menu bar in Unity, click Tools > ArcLab > VfxMeshBuilder.

  1. Window Placement: The tool window will open. For ease of use, it is recommended to dock (place) it next to the Inspector or Scene view tabs.

1. Workflows

There are two basic workflows depending on your objective.

Workflow A: Standard Mesh Modeling

The workflow for creating static meshes for VFX.

1. Create Base Shape: Click Add New Model in the left panel, and select a base shape from Shape Type.

2. Adjust Mesh Resolution (Optimization): Set the mesh detail by adjusting parameters like Segments, Resolution, or Detail that appear according to the selected shape.
